CCometixLine status line

CCometixLine is a status line for Claude Code. It shows your Git branch, the active model and context window usage in real time, so the things you care about while coding are always on screen.

What it shows:

• Git status — branch name, clean / dirty / conflict state, remote tracking info
• Model — a short model name (Sonnet 4 rather than the full identifier)
• Context usage — live token consumption as a percentage
• Themes — several built in (cometix, minimal, gruvbox, nord, powerline-dark), plus custom ones

Install

Through Claude Code (recommended)

Send this message in Claude Code and it will handle the install and the config:

Install https://github.com/Haleclipse/CCometixLine for me
and enable it in my global Claude Code settings

Claude Code will:

1. Clone the repository and build CCometixLine
2. Write the status line config into ~/.claude/settings.json
3. Enable it on the next restart

Manual install

Install globally through npm, then configure it yourself:

npm install -g @cometix/ccline

Add this to ~/.claude/settings.json:

Restart Claude Code to pick it up.

Customising

CCometixLine ships an interactive TUI config panel:

ccline --config

From there you can preview and adjust:

• Status line layout and which items appear
• Themes and custom colours
• How much Git detail to show
