Codex desktop app
The Codex desktop app shares one config.toml with Codex CLI — the setup syncs itself, you only need to confirm it.
Once CC Switch has configured your provider, Codex CLI and the Codex desktop app share the same config.toml. The settings sync automatically — there is nothing extra to configure on the desktop side.
Confirming the desktop app picked it up
If you want to check that the desktop app is reading what CC Switch wrote, compare the two:
Step 1: view config.toml in CC Switch
Open CC Switch, click the provider entry to edit it, and switch to the config.toml (TOML) tab at the top. That shows what is currently written.
Step 2: open config.toml in the Codex desktop app
Open Codex Desktop, go to Config in the left-hand menu, and click Open config.toml in the top right. The file opens in your system's default editor.
Step 3: compare the two
Compare the key fields — model_provider, base_url and so on. If they match, the config is live. base_url should read https://api.flatrouter.com/v1.
Step 4: send a test message
Send a message in the Codex desktop app. A normal AI reply means the setup worked.
