Terms of Service

Flatrouter is operated by NovaSpan LLC, a company registered in the United States. You can reach us at hello@flatrouter.com; our registered address is printed at the foot of this page.

Flatrouter gives you a single API entry point, model routing, usage metering, plan billing, and API key management.

You send requests through Flatrouter endpoints to the available third-party models and model channels. Which models, protocols, regions, quotas, prices, and capacity are available may change over time; what the website, console, and checkout page actually show at the time governs.

Unless separately agreed in writing, Flatrouter has no agency, authorised-reseller, partnership, affiliation, or endorsement relationship with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, AWS, Microsoft, or any other model provider. "Compatible with the official protocol" means the request format or calling convention is compatible — it does not make Flatrouter an official channel of that provider.

You must give truthful, accurate, and complete registration details, and keep them up to date when they change.

You are expected to:

• keep your password, sign-in credentials, and API keys safe;
• not share your account or API keys with anyone else;
• use separate API keys for separate projects and environments;
• revoke or rotate a credential immediately if it leaks;
• take responsibility for activity that happens through your account.

If you register on behalf of a company or another organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

An API key grants you permission to use the Flatrouter service. It does not give you ownership, agency, or resale rights over any model or upstream provider.

You must not:

• sell, rent, transfer, or publicly post an API key;
• circumvent quotas, rate limits, risk controls, or access controls;
• use another person's account, payment method, or identity;
• evade platform or upstream provider limits through bulk registration, false identities, or any other means;
• use Flatrouter for anything that breaks applicable law, an upstream policy, or these terms.

You must not use Flatrouter to:

• commit fraud, theft, extortion, phishing, malware distribution, or network attacks;
• infringe anyone's privacy, intellectual property, or other legal rights;
• generate or spread unlawful, deceptive, threatening, harassing, or hateful content;
• process sensitive personal data, payment credentials, passwords, or private keys without authorisation;
• run unauthorised high-risk automation, bulk harassment, or spam;
• train, test, or operate systems that defeat safety mechanisms, abuse models, or evade provider policies;
• register accounts in bulk, pool shared accounts, or trade credentials;
• break the requirements of any model provider, cloud platform, payment provider, or applicable law.

The Flatrouter Acceptable Use Policy sets out further limits. Where these terms and that policy differ, the stricter limit applies.

Flatrouter plans are priced in Chinese yuan; at checkout, Stripe or the payment provider shown on the checkout page may charge the equivalent amount in US dollars. Your card issuer may apply a different exchange rate and may add a cross-border transaction fee.

Plan credit is prepaid billing credit for Flatrouter API calls. It is not cash, a deposit, or withdrawable funds. Unless separately agreed in writing, it cannot be withdrawn, transferred, exchanged, or spent on anything else.

Usage is metered under the billing rules of the model in question — input and output tokens, cache hits, endpoint type, or whatever other unit the page states. The Flatrouter console and your order records govern what was charged.

The validity period of a plan and its credit, how balances stack, when they expire, and whether the plan auto-renews are governed by the checkout page at the time of purchase. The monthly plans shown today generally run for 30 days; buying again before the period ends may roll unused credit into the new period and restart the clock; unused credit may expire once the period is over.

Refunds are governed by the Flatrouter Payment, Refund, Support and Security Policy.

Except where the law says otherwise, you should not use a chargeback, transaction reversal, or similar mechanism to bypass the normal refund process. If you see a payment problem, a duplicate charge, or a service issue, contact hello@flatrouter.com first.

Flatrouter depends on third-party models, cloud platforms, payment, hosting, network, security, and identity services.

Those services can:

• retire a model or change its version;
• restrict a region;
• rate-limit you or run out of quota;
• be slow, return errors, or go down;
• block content on safety grounds;
• change where and how they process data.

We route, retry, and fail over where it is reasonable to do so, but we cannot guarantee that any particular model, provider, region, or quota will always be available.

You keep your rights in the lawful content you submit, and you are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit it.

Model output can be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, biased, or infringing. Check it before you rely on it, and do not base medical, legal, financial, hiring, credit, or other high-impact decisions on model output alone.

Flatrouter makes no warranty as to the accuracy, originality, usability, or fitness for a particular purpose of model output.

The intellectual property in the Flatrouter website, console, API, software, interfaces, trademarks, documentation, and related material belongs to NovaSpan LLC or the respective rights holder.

Except as these terms expressly allow, you must not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, scrape, rent, sell, or build a competing substitute for Flatrouter out of it.

We may, as the product, costs, upstream models, law, security, or operations require:

• add, change, limit, or retire models and endpoints;
• adjust prices, plans, credit, and billing rules;
• suspend a region, an account, or a feature;
• carry out maintenance, upgrades, or security work.

Unless a written SLA says otherwise, Flatrouter is provided "as is" and "as available", with no guarantee that it will be continuous, uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a specific business goal.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account or API key where:

• these terms, the privacy policy, or the acceptable use policy are broken;
• there is suspected fraud, abuse, attack, credential compromise, or illegal activity;
• a payment is charged back, is owed, or carries excessive risk;
• an upstream provider, a payment provider, or the law requires it;
• it is necessary to protect users, the platform, or a third party.

In an urgent security or legal situation we may act without prior notice. After an account is terminated, the related data, logs, orders, and balances are handled under the privacy policy, the payment policy, and applicable law.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Flatrouter gives no express or implied warranty that:

• the service will always be available or error-free;
• any model, region, protocol, or endpoint will continue to exist;
• model output will be accurate, complete, or fit for a purpose;
• the service will meet your particular compliance, performance, or business requirements;
• third-party services will not go down, rate-limit you, or change their policies or data handling.

To the extent the law allows, NovaSpan LLC is not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, lost data, lost goodwill, business interruption, or losses arising from the use of model output.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the total liability of NovaSpan LLC to any one user in connection with the service will not exceed the greater of the amount that user actually paid Flatrouter in the 12 months before the event, or USD 100.

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

These terms are governed by the law of the United States, without affecting the mandatory consumer rights your local law gives you.

For any dispute arising out of these terms or the service, both sides should first negotiate in good faith through hello@flatrouter.com. If that fails, the dispute goes to a court of competent jurisdiction.

We may update these terms and will show the new update date on this page. Significant changes may be announced through the website, the console, or your registered email address. Continuing to use Flatrouter after an update means you accept the updated terms; if you do not agree, stop using the service and follow the applicable process to close your account or deal with unused credit.
